As Australia’s sixth largest regional airport, we work closely with our airline partners, FlyPelican, Jetstar, Qantas, Regional Express (REX) and Virgin Australia offering direct flights to Australia’s major centres and onward connections to other overseas destinations.

We have direct flights daily to Ballina, Brisbane, Canberra, Dubbo, Gold Coast, Melbourne and Sydney. In 2018 our first international route to Auckland, New Zealand commenced operation with airline partner Virgin Australia.

Newcastle Airport is fast becoming the region's airport of choice for flying both domestically and internationally. We’ve become a preferred hub for international travellers flying from Brisbane, Melbourne and the Gold Coast.

Starting your trip at Newcastle Airport and hubbing through an international airport can give you a more seamless travel experience, often with cheaper flights, cheaper parking and without the stress of driving to a capital city airport.
