This car parking calculator calculates the total car parking fee for the period of time you input into the calculator. The daily and hourly rates per car park are set out on the ‘Airport parking’ page of our website. Hourly rates are only relevant for Short Stay 1, Short Stay 2 and Long Stay Saver.

Important Note: Hourly rates only apply if your car has been in a car park for less than one day. Each day is calculated as a calendar day ending at 12 midnight. If your car remains in a car park after 12 midnight on any day, the hourly rates will cease to apply and the daily rates will apply for the first day you have used the car park plus any day or part day after that (inclusive).

Parking with a disability

Parking at Newcastle Airport is a convenient and flexible travel option for passengers. Just minutes from the terminal, our car parks offer a space to suit every need and budget.

Newcastle Airport has accessible car parking spaces for passengers and visitors with a disability in the Premium, Short Stay and Long Stay car parks. All pathways leading to the terminal from the Premium, Short Stay and Long Stay car parks comply with Australian accessibility standards ensuring ease of access.

FAQs about parking at our airport

We have five car parks at our Airport, all close to the terminal.

Premium – directly outside the terminal (undercover)
Short Stay 1 – directly outside the terminal
Short Stay 2 – 100 metres from the terminal (2-3 min walk)
Long Stay 1 – 200 metres from the terminal (3-4 min walk)
Long Stay Saver – 400 metres from the terminal (7-8 min walk)

Simply follow the Airport signs along Nelson Bay Road, turn off onto Williamtown Drive, then to access individual car parks using the directions below:

Premium – follow Williamtown Drive (1.3km), then turn right directly into the Premium car park.
Short Stay 1 – follow Williamtown Drive (1km), then turn right into the Short Stay 1 car park.
Short Stay 2 – follow Williamtown Drive (990m), then turn left into the Short Stay 2 car park.
Long Stay 1 – follow Williamtown Drive (800m), then turn left into the Long Stay 1 car park.
Long Stay Saver – Follow Williamtown Drive (320m), turn first right into Technology Place (100m), turn left into Cresswell Way (100m), then left into the Long Stay Saver car park. Alternatively, follow Williamtown Drive (680m), turn right into Kindler Way (820m), turn right into Cresswell Way (100m) then turn right directly into the Long Stay Saver car park.

Yes, our Long Stay saver car park is our cheapest parking option, starting from $2.50 per hour or $17 per day. Alternatively, Long Stay 1 is our 2nd cheapest parking option, with five days costing $110 and only a 3-4 min walk to the terminal.

Yes. Short Stay 1 and Short Stay 2 car parks are both great options for picking up or dropping off passengers. Both car parks cost $5 for the first hour.

We have accessible car parking spaces in all of our car parks. Learn more about travelling with a disability at our airport.

Drop-off and pick-up areas are available in the Short Stay 1 Car Park (opposite the front of the terminal). Learn more about travelling with a disability at our airport.

A credit card or cash can be used at any of our payment stations inside the terminal. Alternatively, payment can be made by credit card at the boomgate on exiting.

If you lose your ticket, please go to one of our payment stations in Arrivals and use the 'press for assistance' button and you will be connected with our operations team. You will need to advise them of the details.

Our Short Stay 1, Short Stay 2, Long Stay 1 and Long Stay Saver car parks all have family parking spaces. These spaces are clearly marked with the pram symbol.

All our car parks have CCTV cameras installed, are well lit and our airport is staffed 24/7.

Yes, the Premium car park is undercover and locked overnight.

If you are parking in the Long Stay Saver car park you can use the shuttle bus to travel to and from the Airport terminal. This free service operates on demand, with designated pick-up/drop-off points at the car park and directly in front of the terminal building.

Motorcycles must be parked within a parking space and are not permitted to park on any footpaths, walkways, or entry/exit doors.
