Whether you’re planning a quick drop-off right out the front of the terminal, or want to spend more time with your friends or family before their flight, we have convenient parking options and a range of cafes, bars and restaurants where you can enjoy a drink or meal.

Pick-up & drop-off zone

At Newcastle Airport passengers can only be dropped off at the Departures end of the terminal and be picked up outside the Arrivals end of the terminal. Please note there is a maximum two-minute standing limit for both dropping off or picking up passengers in either of these bays.

Federal Government security requirements mean your car must not be left unattended at any time at the airport, including in the drop off or pick-up bays. Any unattended vehicles may incur an infringement notice and be towed away. If you are asked to move your vehicle by a uniformed airport staff member, you have either parked illegally, or have exceeded the set-down time limit. Failure to comply with security requirements may result in a fine of up to $5,500.

To spend more time saying goodbye, or greeting a passenger, short term parking is available with prices starting at $2.50 per hour. Learn more about Newcastle Airport car parking or calculate the cost of your next trip.

Pick-up and Drop-off areas are available in the Short Stay 1 car park (opposite the front of the terminal).

Persons with a valid Disabled Parking Permit can park in Short Stay 1 for 30 minutes free of charge to drop off or pick up a passenger with a disability. The driver must take a ticket upon entry and be able to show a valid disability parking permit. If you are using this service, please let one of our uniformed airport staff members know and they will adjust your ticket and provide any assistance needed.
